Amazon stock levels

Hi,

It seems that many of your cameras on Amazon are out of stock or "only xx remaining".

For example, the IPC-T24IR-AS-S2 2.8mm is unavailable and the IPC-T24IR-AS-S2 3.6mm showed a few earlier but is now out of stock.

Will you be restocking the Amazon products? And if so, is there any specific timeframe for this?

Unlike gas prices that rise even though the gas was already bought and sittingnin the tank, he was trying to keep prices lower with existing stock. He will be restocking but at the newer price reflective of the cost of the cameras now.

And keep in mind some models are EOL like the 54IR series. I am not sure of the 24IR series.

The 54IR series is EOL? Even the S3 version?

Unfortunately, yes. See this thread:

So this is the closest replacement to the T54IR-S3? IPC-HDW5459T-ZE-IL

This is quite disheartening. I was literally getting ready to pull the trigger on multiple T54IR-S3 cameras after spending countless hours here ensuring these will do what I need them to do. Should I not buy these now? What are the risks in buying? Assuming no updates will be rolled out. Is that a problem?

If you can get your hands on the 5442 series (54IR from Empiretech Andy), then yes get them. Andy has said as OEM he still has access until the current inventory of chips run out.

Most of us here DO NOT UPDATE perfectly working cameras as there are risks of bricking or a feature being removed.

I would take an EOL 5442 camera over any current Dahua model. Most here would agree with that statement.

In fact, many here have stocked up buying a few 5442s for when an existing cam dies.

Well, there's one poster here who swears the Color4MTL is the bees' knees and that its performance blows away the 54IR (5442). Not in my opinion and I suspect the same goes for many others here.

Details matter

Apples and Oranges

The Color4MTL has no IR. Can't see IR. It is White Light ONLY.
So you need to be prepared to run white lights all night

And we've yet to see a video test showing it in a dark area with human movement at say 15-20ft

I suspect it will be weak light past 20ft like the its brothers the 54PRO and 3449 TIOC PRO, which at least to their credit, have BOTH IR and white lights.
