I'm trying to upload an SSL certificate in the HTTPS section of my ip camera settings but it doesn't seem to upload at all. I got it using certbot and let's encrypt. I'm using a DDNS for my public IP so I applied for the SSL certificate using my DDNS address as my webserver.
The Anpviz software is a little clunky but it just doesn't register the SSL at all. They are .pem files.
Any thoughts on how to successfully apply it to the IP camera?
I am trying to secure the connection for when I access it remotely when not using the server PC. I am going to be using Blue Iris to stream a birdbox IP camera. I will be streaming to Youtube.
I will be accessing it remotely via a remote desktop app and the ip cam settings via the http port.
How do I make my operation secure without doing anything too technical?
My password are pretty solid but it's a fairly basic connection as it stands, no proxy or vpn. Just normal broadband connection and port forwarding.
I'm a bit of a middle ground between an average user and a real techie so my knowledge has a lot to be desired.
Thanks! Any help appreciated
