Any idea why I can't deselect "Target" for IVS rule?

I'm trying to detect any motion using IVS for this PTZ camera. For some reason, I can't deselect "Target" since it's grayed out.

It is that way for all of us on certain/all models after a certain year.

I think since we are not their target audience, they have developed the firmware such that it is wants to trigger on human or motor vehicle so they won't let us uncheck that.

For the 5442 series, you need to run older firmware to have that ability.

This firmware on my 5442s allows it to be turned off

This PTZ won't... maybe Andy can suggest a different firmware that will allow it.

Andy sent me a link to a newer firmware to try. I installed it but it still didn't allow me to deselect the "Target" box.

Just because the firmware allows you to deselect the target, that doesn't mean it gets shut off. I've got a 5442-z sitting in the shelf because there is no known firmware for it that detects IVS line crossing or intrusion without the human and/or vehicle filter in the loop. I've tried about a dozen versions and all sorts of animals can walk right through the IVS lines without a trigger. Same story with the 4k-x, except I'm using that one anyway because it's so darn amazing otherwise.
