Any known IP Camera app that doesn't cause camera heating?

Hi all,

I am trying to use an IP Camera app on my Nexus 10 to make sure my doggy is doing ok while I am at work, but till now all the app I have tried causes camera overheating which makes me a little bit worried.
I have tried this one:

Last app is the best so far for accessing camera anywhere but still overheats my device.

Any suggestions? Is this normal?

Is the camera overheating or the Nexus 10?

Sounds more to me like a camera problem than it is an app problem.

For how long are you streaming? Are you constantly watching or just checking in occasionally? A lot of apps will cause a device to heat up as resources are used, it is not uncommon. If your device is needing to also search for signal, that will cause issues too. I recommend closing the app when you are not using it to lower the resources it is using in the background.

When I was on Android, I preferred TinyCam.

Thank you all for your replies. the camera itself and the area around it gets hot after about 30 minutes.
I use it for around 9 hours straight, was thinking of a small heatsink like the ones on motherboards, do you think it would cause a difference?

Ooooh, I understand what is going on now. You are streaming from your tablet to your other device, it makes sense now.
