Any way to determine current focal length of variable focal length lens?

I recently bought a Dahua IPC-HFW2300R-Z. It has an electric variable focal point lens (2.8 - 12mm).
It is a HUGE improvement over my existing 700TVL analog cameras
I bought it to play around with and use to determine the best fixed focal points for any additional cameras I may buy to cover my property.
Is there any way of querying the camera to determine what focal length it is currently using? All software I tried has a sliding "zoom" bar without any markings.
