I'm looking at this 4MP Hik EXIR bullet and wondering how it performs?

I've tried the 8542 from LTS - so same thing. I'm not a fan, daytime picture is great as expected from a 4mp, however I just don't like these night time bullets ability. I prefer the Matrix IR coverage as its far superior in my opinion so either the 3042's or if you want the distance get the 9142. Obviously the 9142 is larger then a small bullet but if you can accommodate it at all for the space/project I love its quality and coverage.

I meant the 4mp Hik bullet with matrix ir which is the LTS 9142. How big is the base? I've seen some photos with an included junction box and some without. Will it mount to a standard 4" round weatherproof box?

The camera is actually a little large - I'm guessing around a foot long and roughly 4x4 box shape - I don't have one in front of me but I'm guessing thats close. As for the mount, I'm honestly not sure, I don't believe that it will mount to a 4" electrical box though... Every time i've used them they have been external mount and I needed the junction box so thats what I mounted and attached directly too. Not exactly helpful, sorry!

Oh okay. I messaged milkisbad to send me actual pics from the warehouse. I need cams that will mount to standard 4" round weatherproof boxes for this next install.

Check out the left image in that picture. That should answer your questions actually as it gives you the spacing for the mounting screws that would be going from the camera mount into your mounting box. If that spacing matches up to your mounting box then you'll be good to go, but I don't believe it will.

Also I don't believe you're going to find anything that will fit actually, that is the downside to 99% of cameras, they don't line up with standard electric junction boxes. However, you could get a standard box cover plate, drill a 3/4 hole in the center for the connector pass thru and simply screw the camera into the cover plate, then the cover plate to the mounting box...

I was just giving milkisbad a hard time. Camera comes with its own box.

Right... But that is the external mount box - I thought you weren't using that box? I thought you had to attach the camera to an existing mounting box...

For this install I need cameras to have a smaller mounting box footprint than turret cams as this property is a rental. No existing boxes in place, sorry for the confusion.
