Archive Alert Clips to Network Drive?

I've had BI and CP.AI set up and working pretty well for some time. The one issue I have is that I want to archive my alert clips (probably only the ones confirmed by AI) to a network drive. But under the Camera->Alerts tab, the export location doesn't allow me to select the mapped network drive. And the local location doesn't seem to be connected to the main settings storage options to delete old items or move them to another location. So the end result is, the alert clips folder on my local HD ends up taking over a huge chunk of space and breaking everything.

What's the best solution?

OK, I did just figure out that by symlinking a regular folder to my network folder I was able to select it in the export dialog. So that mostly does what I want.

But is there a way to have BI limit the size of this export folder?
