I want to add more intelligence to my home automation system by controlling awnings and shades based on the brightness outside. I could just install a few outdoor light sensors and integrate them into my home automation system. However, that means more devices hanging on my walls and replacing batteries (climbing up ladders) . Hence, it would be really nice if a camera can read the average lux value and make it accessible. Is there any solution like that?
Are there any cams that also measure light/brightness?
