US lawmakers plan for possible 'mass casualty' event

A bipartisan group of four House members is advocating for a constitutional amendment allowing for the quick replacement of Congress members in the event of a mass-casualty attack. Rep. Derek Kilmer (D-Wash.) with Reps. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio), William Timmons (R-S.C.), and Emanuel Cleaver II (D-Mo.) put forth a proposal to ensure that Congress can continue its work if a large number of members are killed in a mass attack.


This proposal aims to ensure continuous representation and prevent violence from shifting political power. "We’ve seen a 300 percent increase in threats against members over the last seven years," noted Rep. Derek Kilmer.

The amendment would require House members to provide a list of potential replacements to their state’s governor. Filling vacancies quickly would help maintain stability and deter political violence. However, passing such an amendment is challenging due to the need for a two-thirds congressional vote and state ratification.

Richard Primus, a constitutional law professor at the University of Michigan, suggested lawmakers should also consider changing the Presidential Succession Act, which includes the speaker of the House and the president pro tempore of the Senate in the line of succession.

I believe it’s fair to say America has a serious problem as it relates to facts.

This is only made worse by people who receive critical information from a biased source or in a silo. :(

It’s safe to say the 2024 Presidential Election will be a make or break affair for the nation.

The entire world is on fire right now and the country that used to be leader in democracy, rule of law, and order.

Things may very well unfold as seen in the movie Civil War:



In 2024 there are countless examples of something that was only a based on fiction and has literally become reality.

Think atom bomb, cloning . . .

What does that have to do with this specific topic?!? Never in human history has there been the ability to obtain and spread information across the entire planet in just a click!

This ability along with country’s who are considered bad actors use this new found power to shape and bend peoples views and beliefs.

Back in the day it was called propaganda . . .

Now, it’s called social engineering . . .

All I can say is my hope for America is to stand together. Follow the facts wherever it may lead.

Accept the final outcome and continue to prosper and love your family. Help those who can’t help themselves.

Affirm and support your allegiance to the constitution each and every single day!

I keep reading about fear from our military. They will do what they are told....to a degree. Remember, these are OUR PEOPLE, our kids, our parents, husbands, wife's, uncles, aunts, sisters, brothers. I do not and will not ever believe that they will turn their backs on who and where they came from. Never.
Say what you want, don't care. Will some of them do it? Sure there are always those blood thirsty retards that join for the wrong reasons. But they are few in numbers.

Military personnel are required to follow lawful orders; however, they are also prohibited from obeying orders that are unlawful. Military courts and UCMJ interpretations establish that members of the military must refuse orders that are clearly illegal. This aligns with both domestic military law and international principles, such as the Nuremberg Principles, which state that "following orders" is not a defense for committing war crimes or illegal actions.

Let’s hope you’re right.

10 years ago, maybe 5 I wouldn’t even think about it. But I know folks in today’s military, and it ain’t the same as it was. I could name a few well known 3 and 4 stars that I wouldnt trust with my cat. You know who they are.

With all if the blatant corruption in the 3 branches of government, and especially 3 letter agencies, it would be foolish to think the military has somehow come out untouched by the decline in our government .

But yes there are still some good people in the services and I support them without question.

I could list off a dozen things which are not factual.

But, as I’ve stated many times on this forum I try very hard to stay away from political / religious threads as this isn’t why I’m on it.

That doesn’t mean from time to time I won’t participate in one. :thumb:

You and many others on this forum have contributed endless years of technical and personal knowledge that span countless topics.

Having read your sincere replies and comments you and many others have earned my respect.

As such I don’t criticize you or anyone else having a belief or strong view on something that matters to you. :headbang:

Having said that, you know first hand if I come into a thread my replies and comments are directed at whatever link / source is being shared.

Lisa is not the enemy because she decided to take personal time to help process the millions of ballots for a fair and honest election.

All my brothers and sisters who are overseas serving their nation are NOT the enemy and one side wants to stop accepting military ballots?!?

People who are stationed in some shit hole because someone back in 1980 said it’s a good thing?!?

Yet when it’s time to use my rights to vote which millions died to get!

The people serving the country are not allowed to summit their ballots to be counted?!?

If that isn’t anti American, anti democratic, I don’t know what is???
 
I hope you are right too, but what worries me over the past 4 years is the Fraudsy cough vaccine mandate.

Those who made the decision to stick with their beliefs said fuck you.

Those who made the decision to obey the tyrants said “yea, stick that needle in my arm.”

Granted, I am not sure if someone were to join the military today if they will be required to get the Fraudsy cough vaccine. But if they are, then no one in the military has a spine.

Hitler didn’t start out by saying kill all Jews, he started out in small steps.
