Audio issues with foscam

I currently have a foscam model F19816P V3. We have used this to monitor my son with disabilities while he sleeps due to medical issues. We have always used a spare cellphone(android) at our bed side to monitor him but we recently upgraded to a tablet( iPad mini)
Our issue is we get very spotty audio if any at all. If I use my phone it's perfect. My wife's phone is Apple and she gets spotty audio as well. So I thought maybe an Apple issue. So I tried an android tablet and same issue as ipad mini ....no audio.
I would appreciate any advice.
 
Is this audio problem when you monitor with an app or when using a browser to view/listen using the cam's built-in webGUI?

That's a pretty dated camera, inexpensive and only 720p, you might have to bite the bullet and invest in new one if you cannot resolve the audio issue.:cool:

When using foscam app
 
Maybe uninstall/re-install the app?
Try a different app? If not Foscam P2P/cloud you'll lose remote access, if that's a consideration.
Perform a hard reset on the camera ? (may lose YOUR phone which works, so do only if desperate).
