Auto Track Possibly tracking air or ghosts LOL

Hi Everyone ! Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend ! So I have the SD8A840WA-HNF and sometimes I have seen Auto Track on the camera just go insane. So Today I was luckily sitting on the system while it happened. So fired up IE and noticing rules too what it is trying to track. please let me know if anyone has experienced anything like this.

Sorry did not had a screen recorder at the time so just recorded it with the phone.


Any ideas on how to fix or troubleshoot at-least what it is possibly trying to track .. I think I see the walkway rule is firing this up.. but then there is nothing on walkway maybe it is trying to track ants LOL but then I don't have any ants

O boy so I am troubleshooting to as I am doing this seems like Driveway rule has this option as Track Non-Motor Vehicles I turned that off from driveway .. So far so good... Will keep an close eye if this again becomes an issue maybe I have found a possible fix for now. But again wonder what non motor vehicle it think there is when it is on for it to do that.

So far I'm pretty satisfied by it when being used with presets. The only flaw is how it sometimes attempts to follow shadows. That can be easily remedied by adjusting the intrusion box and object filter in the presets.

Yeah, So far I like it since it gets me of good facial details when someone steps near my driveway... and auto tracks Kind of a deterrent by itself. Lot of times solicitors do Not even step on my drive way or they just keep walking lol. Which is nice !!! win win !!

But i would love to see what triggers this so far it seems pretty stable by keeping that Non-Motor Vehicles off but again it is too early like I said it is random so not sure if that is a fix I will get a coffee and maybe sit and watch it for 10-15 mins LOL. I love the auto track though.

Oh as I am typing saw it happened again interesting ... Let me try to turn some other things off..

Okay Interesting find. So far watching it for 10 mins.. and good.. and will watch for a bit more.. so what i have found ..

Notice the Yellow BOX on driveway which is nothing but it seems to be tracking it.. this is with the rule.. set for intrusion.

SO I created another Preset .. this time with the rule Tripwire.. instead of intrusion..

And lets notice again what the camera sees in turns of possible objects ..

I am noticing no more Yellow box on driveway. With that said I do not see the camera so far for last 10 mins doing what it was doing earlier... I am still watching the camera closely hopefully this is the fix.

Yes, Seems like good solid 20 min so far so good it has fixed the issue. Wonder why Intrusion is detecting something which is not even there..
