Are there any noticeable improvements to motion detection when pairing a smart AI NVR with a smart AI camera?
For example, currently looking at the NVR5432-16P-I ($1,050) with the IPC-T5442TM-AS ($155 each) camera and SD5A425XA-HNR auto-tracking ptz ($690 each) in hopes that spending more upfront for higher quality cameras and nvr with all the bells and whistles will pay off with more accurate motion detection alerts in an environment with heavy shading and wind. I am assuming that the NVR does all the motion detection & analytics work so the part I don't fully understand is exactly how the AI features on the camera itself will provide "additional/better" motion detection & tracking versus using a cheaper camera that lacks AI features.
If there is zero real-life benefits to having analytics on a camera when the NVR is also doing analytics then the decision is much easier to go with a "dumb" but quality picture camera.
