I'm really only concerned with getting a good night recording of people walking within a 20' radius of my LTS CMIP2032 camera. My current settings don't do a very good job in that there is a good deal of blur when someone is walking slowly. I'd like to hear any suggestions for changes to my settings. Thanks!

Exposure: 1/30 (Gain 100)
BLC & WDR: Off
White Balance: Natural Light
DNR: On (Level 100)

Your DNR and WDR settings are also going to come into play to optimize your night image 105437 but I'm not certain what you need. If you're running 20FPS I would set my iFrame at 20 also.

Thanks @Q2U... I'll change iFrame to 20 and about posting what it looks like.

those encoding settings dont do anything for your night image, you want to change your exposure settings; thats whats causing the blur..

Also set the camera's receive buffer in Blue Iris to 20mb. I'll leave it at that until someone who knows what they're doing shows up to help you, eh?

Thanks @nayr... so I would assume 1/60 should be better than 1/30 for reducing blur... right?

yes the higher the shutter speed the better it does w/motion.. but inversely its a darker image that results in more gain/noise.

other exposure settings such as 3DNR, WDR, and others will add blur aswell.. usually at night you run WDR off, and 3DNR @ ~33% with an exposure around 1/30-1/60 depending on light avilable..

I do have WDR off and DNR at 100% so maybe I'll bump it down to 33%. Here's what my initial capture looks like.

yeah thats totally noise reduction blur.. and you definitely will see it with it @ 100%, back it off..

Well I guess you can at least now tell it's a male walking, but you really need more light in there or better cam
