All-

I am looking to buy an Hikvision 2432F-IW and saw a few decent deals on Amazon. Just curious if that is the best place to buy or can someone here recommend another seller? Also, from what I have been reading I should be looking for the US version of Hikvision cams instead of the Chinese...is that correct?

Off topic question...how exactly do you pronounce Hikvision?

Is it "Hick Vision" or "Hike Vision" or something different?

Hey Roman,

The correct pronunciation is "Hike Vision" but you'll hear Hick quite a lot also. Be careful when buying from Amazon as there are many vendors who send out chinese versions or unbranded cameras instead of a USA version. The downside to this is generally you only get a 1 year warranty if any, there is usually no tech support, and a lot of times you cannot update the firmware on the camera without it turning it into chinese language. If you don't mind paying a little bit extra for the USA version and a full 3 year warranty check out Nelly's Security. We have all US Hikvision cameras and provide a full 3 year warranty with lifetime tech support.
