Best place to buy US version 4MP NVR setup

Hi,

I'm looking to get a complete setup for my new house and I'm leaning towards Hikvision or LaView for the job. I'm looking at an 8ch NVR and 4MP bullet cameras for the outside and two 3MP wi-fi box cameras for the inside. I think I should go with the original Hikvision for firmware update frequency vs LaView which will probably be lacking behind.

I am computer savvy, however I don't want to be stuck with a grey import on some random/hacked firmware and rather pay to get the real US version.

So where would be the best place to buy such a setup for the best price. I'm kind of worried about eBay and getting a Chinese version with hacked firmware but I don't feel like doling out $210 for a 4MP camera at B&H when essentially the same thing is selling for under $100 on aliexpress.

Any advice?

I wouldn't worry about firmware updates, you'll soon discover they are all a bit rubbish and just stick with one that works unless you really have to update.

I vote aliexpress, i been lucky perhaps, never got anything wrong so far. but check with the seller a bit first. about warranty. well who cares when you get twice as many cameras for the same money =). But im in Europe. maybe different story here with the prices

I'm not that concerned about the warranty aspect either, I'm more concerned with being able to update the firmware to the latest one with the latest features, as they come along, without the hassle of dealing with grey market. I found Nelly's since I asked so I'll be reaching out to them shortly, thanks!
