BI unable to send text or email alerts

Hi,
BI unable to send me email or text alerts. I get the following message when I test the email/text feature. See attached picture.
Yes, 2 step verification is off. I have checked that my password is correct multiple times.

You have to also allow in your email the less secure option as well, which is different than 2-step verification.

Set Up a bogus gmail account just for your notifications, with less secure credentials. That way your regular gmail is still somewhat secure.
