Blinking Green LED in Hikvision

I have the following dome camera DS-2CD2142fwd-1.
There is a green LED that is flashing constantly and I'm getting a reflection on the dome which is messing up my night vision.
See glare in the top right corner of attached image.
I've been through the config pages but cannot see anywhere to turn this off.
Does the blinking mean the camera is having an issue?
I know this isn't a very good camera, but it should be doing better than this.
Or is that pretty standard IR reflection for a dome camera?

I've attached an image from my Wizcam 2431 mounted on the same test rig for comparison.

And here is an image with the dome removed.

Better, but still pretty bad.

Might have to mount in a daytime only spot.

Yeah that is a budget camera that put 4MP on a 1/3" sensor that is designed for 720P.

You are getting a ton of IR bounce back/bleed which is common with domes.

The rubber/foam seal around the lens is probably compromised letting IR in, but you also have a lot of shiny stuff in that field of view that can be causing IR reflection. Domes are notorious for that sort of thing which is why we don't recommend them unless inside and can be used in color.
