Greetings

After updating to the latest BI upgrades offered via the BI app window, the system now crashes with a grey pop up window stating: "Blue Iris Video Security and Web Cam Software has stopped working". Vague msg as I have no tech info except for that as visiting the site in the morning , Has anyone heard of the system stopping like this on the latest updates ? The site ran out of storage last Monday and Blue Iris stopped recording, as I cleaned the drive, updated via the app page and checked the logs and it looked a ok. Did this once on me after I straightened out the drives and updated BI software then after another reboot , the maintenance started and I had to leave the site. 2 days later this msg was found by one of the folks onsite.
Thx

Regards
Rich

Have you tried rolling back to the previous version?

No not yet as I am heading over there today ! I'll look at the logs etc. first to see if I can find anything that caused this. Also, The hard drive filled up as a lot of activity and I deleted a ton of stuff as My Customer never deleted old stuff adding to the problem ...

Drop back to the earlier version.

Drop back to the earlier version.
Was just up at the site and there are 250000 records when it started the db regeneration , It is taking forever as I have never seen it take more than 20 minutes but we are talking a day now . I found the Anti Virus blocked a path after the db finished as that exact msg was shown in the log. Also 2 meg of memory left as there was 16 gb but had no issues until the upgrade as it ran fine with 13 cameras but knew at some time we needed to upgrade. Ordered 128 gb for it and it will be in tomorrow. Also checked the storage as it seemed to be and installed another external drive and we now have 30 tb of space. Hopefully the db regeneration works as I hate to rebuild the db .. Zthx E veryone ! Also found some help online stating this very issue ( 250000 plus db corruption)

Yeah, there used to be a note in the BI helpfile that stated after 200,000 clips it can get unstable.

You need to modify settings to keep that number lower.

Again, if you have Blue Iris setup correctly, as you apparently do not, there is NO NEED for any manual deletion of files.....ever.
