Blue Iris machine: any additional utility programs one should install?

My BI5 I7-4770 machine sits down in a metal network cabinet in my garage. I use RDP to tinker with the machine from my main PC.
Does anyone add other utility windows programs to their machines? Such as mobo monitoring for heat, cpu usage, disk usage, etc? I currently run Bitdefender free version (really dinky footprint) on it with no issues.
Eventually with Home Assistant and Z-wave, I'll add in temp probes and a security cam from Andy down there.
This i7-4770 machine currently has my BI5 and VM Ubuntu & Home Assistant on it, due to economics (eventually will get a dedicated NUC for Home Automation stuff). I'm curious of what utility program should be running to keep track of mobo temps and cpu usage. And any other nifty useful utility programs that should be running that could be handy.

Installing Blue Iris Tools. Should help (been waiting to upgrade to BI5 before installing this)

not yet. just downloaded, installed, it found BI5... that's as far as I've taken it. Dabbling with Home Assistant / Node-Red installation too which is taking up my time :)
