I have 6 cameras set up with Blue Iris. They are configured so that during non-work hours if they detect motion, they send a text message. Starting a few months ago the system has been randomly sending out past alerts. For instance this past Sunday I was in the office (non-work hours) and received a text message on my when I walked into the building, and then several text messages when I was in my garage area. Last night and today I have been randomly receiving text messages from the system that motion was detected. The system has been sending me duplicates of the same image I received several days ago. I've restarted the machine BI is running on. That did not resolve the issue, as I'm still randomly receiving messages that I received days ago.

I'm on version 5.9.9.23.

Did this start happening after your recent upgrade to 5.9.9.23; have you tried rolling back to an earlier release to see if it resolves the issue, this would confirm if it is a bug in the current release,!
If you have BI set to automatically update, I would strongly suggest that you turn off the automatic updates so that you don't get caught with a problem like this!

By "text message" do you mean you are using "Send SMS" Actions from the Alerts tab 'On alerts' action set?

If so, many users have experienced randomly delayed texts and even blocking of Blue Iris SMS notifications by their wireless providers.

For a more reliable experience, consider migrating to Pushover - like many us - see this thread for details.

Maybe try a database repair?

Bruce_H - It began prior to the update actually. I updated to the latest stable version to see if it resolved the problem. It did not.

Flingston61 - I will try a database repair and see if that resolves anything. If the DB repair doesn't work I'll look into Pushover.

Thank you all.
