Blueiris + Acusense 8MP

G'day all.

I am getting stuck into researching a new setup which will use Blueiris and Hikvision 8MP cameras. I was all set to use the Hikvision DS-2CD2385G1-I 8MP outdoor turret (https://www.hikvision.com/au-en/product ... position=1), but then I came across the Hikvision Acusense DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL turret (https://www.hikvision.com/au-en/product ... position=1).

I am trying to wrap my head around the best way to go with regard to my camera purchase. From what I can see the Dark Fighter camera is a 'less intelligent' unit which will give me plenty of unnecessary recordings and false alerts, whereas the Acusense unit is more intelligent and will filter most of those false alerts out. However, I am unsure whether or not the advanced filtering capability of the Acusense G2 is compatible with Blueiris. Is anyone able to shed any light on that?

I did see the AI Sentry product for Blueiris which seems like it might be a good alternative if I was going to use the 'less intelligent' camera. The annual subscription sucks a bit, but then again 8 cameras with an AUD $35 price difference between the models means $280 to spend on AI Sentry subscriptions which will last me a few years.

Is there any advantage in using an Acusense camera with Blueiris? Are the additional features compatible? Would AI Sentry essentially do the same thing?

Thanks in advance.
