M2 MacBook Air... After recent OS and browser updates I am unable to view my BI UI3 on Chrome or Edge only while at home when I am connected to my local network. Both return the error that the ip address is unreachable. I have zero problem when mobile connected to the Internet via someone else's wifi or my phone hotspot. Anyone else had this issue and have a solution?

Never mind, guys, I did another restart and now both browsers connect just fine. Which is amazing because Edge hasn't been able to connect for months. I had to use Chrome and after the last update this afternoon that had stopped working, too.... until I restarted the MacBook again and now they both work. How bizarre, but I won't complain.

This has occured a lot in the last 2 years with Windows 10 and 11, maybe it's happening with Mac. An update changes your active network connection properties from private to public and it won't connect to devices on your LAN.

How do I change my Network from public to private on Mac?
Change network service settings on Mac

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Network in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) ...
  2. Click a service, such as Ethernet or Wi-Fi. ...
  3. Click Details, change the settings as needed, then click OK.

Now UI3 is unreachable on both browsers again. LOL. I went into the settings as above but when I get to step 3 I don't see anything to change that would fix this issue.

Sorry, don't have a Mac but look for something that is essentially like "properties", "service" or "type" that would relate to the NIC (Network Interface Card) being set to "public/private".
