Burglars wearing hoodies

Getting video of a burglar is pretty easy. Getting an image of a burglar's face is something else. Burglars these days wear hoodies and keep their heads down. Any suggestions on cameras or camera placement to get a good "up shot" at an intruder? Sure you can post an obvious camera down low looking up, but it invites a swift and destructive kick. I'm thinking about a hidden motion sensitive cam that is easy to point upward, placed at a point or points where an intruder might pass by.

Any thoughts?
 
I went through this very thing at one of my car washes. Repeated burglaries. They'd always be wearing a hood, or plastic bag over their head.

I ID'd them via a license plate shot, but corroborated the plate shot with a facial pic taken from a Phylink PLC-128PW covert camera. It's about the size of a dime, and I placed it within the machine the scumbag was continuing to steal from.

Got 'em.
