As far as security around my house and garage, I've got a pretty good view of nearly everything. Obviously the angles are not exact, but it's a pretty good representation of the field of view. Think nearly all cameras are a 4mm lens, couple are 2mp and few are 3mp Hikvision.

I have an extra camera pointed at a bird nest in my garage at the moment, thinking I'll install it next to the one on the back corner of the garage and cover the rest of the back yard and road to the north east going by my house. Finding out that my 2tb hard drive is filling up a bit quicker than I'd like. Running 25-30 fps on all cameras and have the data set at full blast, so clips get big quick. Thinking if I drop everything down to 20fps, i'll be able to manage the HD space a bit better and go a little easier on the cpu.

How about 1 facing to the bottom (according to pic) installed near your car. That would cover a large area.

I may do one of these mockups with my house as well to get a better idea..
