I have a question about the IPC-T5442T-ZE. I just noticed that on the IPC-D5442E-ZE I got “1/1 Alarm in/out”, but not on T5442T-ZE and also not on the fixed-lens model IPC-T5442TM-AS. Is there a fixed or vari-focal 5442 turret model that supports alarm in/relay out? What is the “in” part of the alarm relay on the camera used for? I imagine it might be to activate camera #2 if camera #1 sends the signal directly but this should all go through NVR, right?
Do I need to have “alarm out” function if I use NVR? I am trying to understand if this feature would enable me to pass on individual camera alarm signals to the NVR and then from NVR into my 3d party home alarm central?
I noticed that NVR specifications have “Alarm input” and “Relay Output”. What is the difference here between these 2? Does a camera have to have Alarm relay in order for NVR to receive an alarm signal?
Does NVR have to have Relay Output in order to send a signal to my alarm central?
Camera alarm out travels over same cat cable I use for POE, right?
If all of the above is the way I imagine it might be, does that mean I need, lets say, 10 cameras with “alarm out” function and a NVR with matching 10x “Alarm input” and then also 10x “Relay Output” if I want to have specific alarm zone activated on my house alarm central? The central then also requires 10 zones specifically for camera alarm inputs or I’ll have to combine several cameras into 1 zone. And if NVR has less than 10 Relay Outputs, I need to combine several camera alarm inputs into <10 NVR Relay Outputs... Am I making sense or is this completely wrong? Thanks.
