I just installed my first security camera for our front door and entrance area, integrated it into frigate with a coral tpu for object detection and homeassistant. Works awesome.

Now i want to monitor my garden as well so i need more cameras :)
For one area i am not sure which camera i should choose. The area is only 3 meters wide but 12 meters long and i want to be able to use object detection and ideally face recognition on the end of the corridor as well. Maybe you guys can recommend a camera for me?

Congrats on the setup. I purchased Asecam and I don't recommend them as they are hard to setup, still haven't figure out how :(. What camera model did you setup with Frigate?

Thanks. I have the Empiretech IPC-T549M-ALED-S3 1/1.8" CMOS 4MP. I guess this camera is ok, but i am not totally happy with the picture quality. If you can recommend another camera please go ahead.

LOL :) Just a WARNING from some of the more experienced members here:
Dont you need at least two cameras ? But thanks for the warning :)

Seems like you are focused (no pun intended) on the right issue here... I made the mistake of getting all 2.8mm wide angle cameras without researching first... I also have them mounted too high (although it would have been difficult to do otherwise) ... I have Hikvision cameras that I am happy with, but if I were to start over, I would use Empiretech cameras based what I have learned here since...

I'm pretty sure someone here will give you better advice so you can avoid mistakes I made.

I was just overwhelmed by the number of different cameras that are being offered, so i said to myself if there are so many different cameras then there will be very high potential that i am going to buy the wrong one :)
