Camera height and driveway slope

Hi all,
I've been reading that putting your camera up too high makes it unlikely to get recognizable images of faces. My house is on a hill and the driveway slopes downward meaning anyone walking up the driveway will be even lower. My camera is about 15ft from the ground. Are there any tricks to improve this or do I just need to significantly lower it or install an additional eye-level / doorbell camera?

Thanks!

Mine slopes a ways. And 1 cam is 8 feet up. So a 2nd one is on the porch at4 ft. (If you are on the porch)

Thanks for all the suggestions. I need a new camera anyway so I'll see about varifocal. I think it just may have to be an overview camera and Ill get another to put lower somewhere creative.

This is what I'm working with. Pardon the terrible pink color, the IR filter is stuck.

Stuck filter can be fixed with a hammer sometimes LOL.

Yeah I would keep an overview and put next to it a varifocal zoomed in

The angle of attack needs to be low. If you position the cam high, then it needs to be focused down range. At 15' high though, you will probably need to be about 50-60' out to get a good face shot. That would mean you need a long focal length. The only real way to know is to use a test rig and mount it that high and walk it day and night.
