Hello I am new to the forum from Australia.

I admit I signed up to get the discount on Blue Iris so dont hate me. :) I have been reading through a few threads here and understand the recommendation to prevent IP cameras from accessing the internet.

I purchased some relatively cheap 1080p ip cameras from a drop shipper here in Australia that came from China. I have set them up and they all seem to be maintaining a connection to a Singapore data centre :

Code:
upd 192.168.1.35:35779 47.88.173.237:21
Could there be a legitimate reason for this?

I have the equipment to segregate the cameras but have not yet. Is it urgent?

Port 21 is the standard FTP port. Is auto update enabled? Maybe try disabling that if it is enabled and then check to see if it’s still opening a connection.
