Hi
Thank you for all the reviews you've done so far.
Can you please recommend me a camera setup - I seem to be lost in the vast sea of information here...
I am looking for a 4 camera setup. All to go outdoors. Was thinking IPC-HDW5231R-Z cameras...

I never had a Dahua camera - how are they with online viewing? Not really concerned with Chinese cloud providers - my parents camera connected directly to the EZVIZ cloud.
I want to record all hours during the day and only on movement at night (+ or - 30 seconds if the camera/NVR allows). So that brings to the question - what is a good, not super expensive NVR that will works fine with these camera and have PoE in it?
Hope you can share your knowledge here.
Thank you

Just record 24/7, recording only on motion at night is a recipe for disaster... Disk storage is cheap

Thanks, Nayr. Must be my past of recording only to the inbuilt SD card.
Are these cameras best bang for the buck? I put a Hikvision mini dome at my parents place, but night vision is crap due to the reflections.
Is Dahua 4ch NVR is the way to go for ease of setup etc or there are better NVRs out there that work best with these cameras? New to all this NVR world. Just looking for the simplest setup, that does not require a separate cabinet/rack to put all the parts in there (NVR, PoE network switch, UPS etc)

id suggest an 8ch minimum, that way if they want to put up a 5th camera in the future they wont need a whole new recorder.

4208-8P-4KS2 would be decent for you I think..

The only thing tha'll compete on the same level as these is the 6-35mm Z5 Starlight Bullet that has alot more zoom; but those are big bullets with a low WAF score.

Thanks, Nayr. Is there much difference functionality wise between this NVR4208-8P-4KS2 and the NVR5216-16p-4ks2/NVR5216-8p-4KS2 (apart from 8ch vs 16ch)? There is not much difference in cost

its faster and newer

OK, so far

4x IPC-HDW5231R-Z
1x NVR5216-16p-4ks2/NVR5216-8p-4KS2

Nayr, do you know how much power your PoE switch + 10 cameras (or how many you have connected now) draws in total?

Damn.. cameras out of stock =(

They aren't out. Andy is just busy.

lol today too busy at sea port, have a container items to go for Japan, for the stock no worry at all, actually speaking we have 500pcs stock for March. Tomorrow may have some more, and next week.
Because i have many backorders, so can't put too many stock on the shop. I am checking now, and put some more on the shop when still have some.
