how can i change the camera time to match the nvr time? it is 1 hour out.
can it be done through the NVR as i cant log into these cameras with a computer.

You can either put in the wrong time for the NVR and hope it shows or get into the camera GUI and add DST offset.
Are you saying you do not have the ability to get the NVR and a computer on the same network? Like you do not have an ethernet cable connected to the WAN/LAN port of your NVR into your network?
If you do, you can access the camera GUI.
To get into the camera GUI from the NVR, you need to first access the NVR GUI by going to a computer and opening up a browser (preferably Internet Explorer (yeah we know) but Pale Moon will work as well) and type in the IP address of the NVR and login that way. Next go into the camera settings page on the NVR and look for the Microsoft e Web Browser and select it and it will go to the camera GUI (photo credit bigredfish from his PSA thread). Your screen may look a little different to get into the camera gui and see if doing it this way gets you access to some other features the NVR is blocking - do not worry about the Port number and circle as that was from another issue someone posted.
The user/pw for the cameras should be the same as the NVR unless YOU changed the camera user/pw.

- Copy then paste the single line of code below into Notepad:
- CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application").Visible=true
- Save as OpenIE.vbs
- Make sure the the file name ends in .vbs not .txt, If it ends in .txt you must rename to .vbs
- Create a shortcut to the above file and double-click it anytime you want native Internet Explorer.

looks like only way is to get computer hooked up. see what happens when day light savings goes soon.
You will want to make sure that your NVR is working with a good NTP server.. Then you will want to make sure that your NVR is setup to Sync with your cameras Time.. See picture below.. Then if the NVR and cameras have communication issues because they are not same brand or OEM of the same brand unless it is Univew and Alibi don't even try lol..
But anyway your NVR should be your POE cameras NTP server as long as the NVR is setup to keep time with your cameras.. Some times things can get out of wack between NVR and camera and in that case you will want to log into the camera and make sure that the DST is correct and that it isn't setup to try and access a NTP sever in the settings because the NVR is acting as NTP server so if that is unchecked and if you use DST time NVR time is correct then cameras should be as well..
