Hi, we have several cameras all set up with the same settings for email alerts to be sent via Hotmail/Outlook settings. In the last 2 or 3 months the email alerts have stopped working.

I have tried different smtp settings, different from/to emails, different hotmail sender accounts without success - all come back as Test Failed

I am at a loss what to do - has anyone experienced the same issues recently?

Microsoft has given notices for several months that basic authentication will go away and you will need to set up OAuth2 authentication starting Sept. 16, 2024. So in order to use hotmail/outlook POP/IMAP and SMTP, you need OAuth2. If you are not able to use OAuth2 on cam, then you'll need to use a different email service, like Namecheap
