Can a HDD from one NVR be viewed in another NVR?

Hi!

Let's say, I have two Dahua NVR devices, same model. If I eject the hard disk from first and then plug into second - will all records be accessible?

I asked a similar question not long ago. Not sure if the answer is of help to you:

Assume a thief steals the camera with SD card or an NVR with HDD. The device is pw protected, the thief will reset the device and sell it or whatever. What about the media in that device? Can the thief acccess the video without the device-password? How safe is it?

What I did test was to move an SDcard from one cam to another. And that worked.

So for NVRs, you need to populate the required number of channels according to the records and they will be there?
