Can a managed switch be used as a dumb switch?

I have an application that needs 12 POE ports and 10 gigabit ports.

I was looking at this Netgear unit. This managed switch was the same cost as purchasing two POE switches and a standard switch.

Can I use this switch in UN-managed mode, I don't need the VLAN features.

Thanks!

You can choose to use or not use the features of the switch. I have a managed switch that I use very few of the features on. The one feature that I really appreciate though, is the ability to turn an individual port's PoE off and then back on to do a hard power cycle of a camera.

Generally by default most managed switches are unmanaged. At work we use 48port Netgear PoEs which are somewhat pricey but the fact is at that scale it's hard to find unmanaged switches because typically in business environments if you're hooking up that much stuff, you'll be managing something. Not always the case though like us and you're trying to accomplish something similar.
