Hi All,
First post and and a Newbie! However I am an ex Apple Engineer so ok with the IP side of things.
My question is pretty much in the title, I'm looking for a way to make my IP camera detections trigger an external audible alarm as well as emailing me the imagery and information as per my camera setup.
Currently I am running the cameras through a switch and using a Dell Workstation for viewing and setup locally. I am happy to look at buying an NVR if required.
I am just looking for a wireless alarm system that has facility to allow this, or I would be open to advise if I could just add a bell? I've also thought about using a Raspberry Pi or Arduino if I can get a signal from somewhere that will run for the duration setup in the cameras. This could switch and feed the bell I guess, just seems like a long way round. I'm sure there must be an easier route as I can't be the only one wanting this.
Any advice on this would be very much appreciated.
many thanks.
