My NVR is a DHI-NVR4108HS-8P-4KS2/L, but i want to buy a WizMind (Or WizSense) camera.
I dont think the NVR supports advanced ai features,
Is "WizMind" just because it can be used with WizMind NVRs or does it mean it can be used with any Dahua NVR?

My NVR: DHI-NVR4108HS-8P-4KS2/L
Wanting to buy: IPC-HFW5842E-ZHE

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but i am new to Dahua

It should recognize the camera, and the NVR will recognize IVS/SMD/Face Detection features

But the other AI features like AcuPick and VMD it wont be able to work with

Yeah good catch. Go with the 4MP.

Do you want OVERVIEW or IDENTIFY and if so at what point/distance. That dictates the camera selection.

It's mostly overview, i have other cameras in the area that probably can identify. But i was thinking about using TiOC 8mp too, or the brand new 4mp WizColor (Current camera sucks at night)
I don't know what to do..

The 5442 series 4MP will run rings around that at night. MUCH bigger sensor than that old 1/3 cmos

You might have enough light for the 8MP, but I think the 4MP 5442 will still do better at night

Look for 1/1.8" sensor on the 4MP cameras. Thats the right sensor for 4MP. Its a little small for 8MP but it can work if enough light.

You generally dont want 1/2.8 sensor on 4MP cameras

As you see on the photo, there is plenty of streetlights infront of the camera. (Orange HPS 70W)
I can count 4 streetlights infront of the camera.
Do you think its good enough light for a 8mp? If not, i guess ill go with the WizColor.

Also, i'm kinda in love with IPC-HFW7842H-Z-X
Maybe its too good for the area
