Cannot access camera behind NVR 4108HS

Hello,

I have a my NVR configured pretty simply :
  • connected to my router on the 192.168.1.* network
  • NVR switch address 10.1.1.*
  • IP PTZ connect on NVR PoE port 1, after letting the NVR configure it by itself, IP address is 10.1.1.65.
  • camera is visible on the live panel
  • activated "PAT" under "UPnP", under Network, hopping to access my camera
  • reset the camera list to default on the NVR to have a fresh configuration

My issue : I cannot access to the camera's GUI for finer configuration. I tried :
  • opening the blue IE link in the camera menu : not loading
  • using the NVR adress hoping it would redirect the request : 192.168.1.108:10080 not loading
  • using the serial number to add it to smartPSS on my phone and my computer : not loading.

I have tried unsuccessfully all kind of indications on this forum and others for hours, still no luck.
Can you please indicate me how you are meant to access the camera GUI behind a Dahua NVR ?

What browser are you using?

Try Edge is Internet Explorer mode.

Even though newer NVR software allows for operation via a Chromium browser without plugins, some functions like this still require the use of Internet Explorer.

I don't think this is related to the browser, as these link are opening fine on another NVR I have here with me for tests.

It is likely going to be related to the browser.

Any browser can open the link, but it depends if the NVR can support the browser when forwarding the IP camera.
NVR software versions all have variations as software improves.
 
So I managed to access it :
I went on the DMSS app, and while browsing this app, I could access it through the computer.
Not really a fix, but found an unexpected workaround I guess

DMSS app cannot open directly to the cameras through the NVR anyway, it's not designed for that.
 
DMSS and SmartPSS let you access to the camera through the NVR.
Yes you cannot add the cameras directly in the applications, but that is not what I was trying to do.
I could not have access the webpage of the camera after clicking on the camera's shortcut within SmartPSS, until I began opening the NVR and the camera via DMSS, somehow the webpage of the camera became available
