Cant connect to my hikvision

hey guys
last week i lost connection to my Hikvision outdoor cam - it is a Poe cam..
i cant connect to the ip anymore - as if it has lost the ip totally.
the poe board should not be fried due to bad weather - it still reacts
to motions and turns on the ir light.

what can i do to gain control over this cam again - any ideas...

Download the SADP tool Hikvision Europe and search for the camera... It may now have a new ip address if you have not given it a static ip address. Also it could have been hacked if you have exposed it to the internet (p2p, uPNP, port forwarding enabled). If you search this forum or the use google there is lots of information about hikvision and dahua backdoor hacks.

Also if it's easy to access the camera try taking it down and test it on a test bench with good cabling direct to a pc for example.

ok - will try to reset it - and see if ip comes up - the default one..
i have a portforward to the cam - but its protected with a strong pwd
- thanks i will investigate...

Doesn't matter if your password was 1000 random letters and numbers there is a backdoor into these cameras using the hidden admin account. So if your camera is exposed to the internet as yours is with port forwarding there is a chance somebody will try and access it or hack it!

Disable port forwarding and setup VPN access to your network. Fingers crossed your missing camera hasn't already been hacked!
 
Im sorry but The cam itself is not exposed-
It is connected to my nas - and no portforward direct to The cam
I Will try The tool you mention

... i ran The software - it Worked - ip has changed - modified it via The software - working now
