I tried to power the cam with a POE injector (Ubiquiti 24V 0.5A), and with a 12V power supply, but the camera does nothing. The led on the switch is off where I plugged it in. I can't see any sign of it powering up, I can't find it on my network. Any Idea what is wrong?
I bought 2 cameras, I only tried one with the POE injectort, because I realized I might've overvoltaged it, but the other one doesn't do anything either, despite I only tried the 2nd camera with the 12V psu.

First of all, you cannot power a POE device (PD) that's spec'd as 802.3af/at with a Ubiquiti 24VDC passive injector, which is NOT a 802.3af/at PSU.

Regarding no LED on the switch, is the cable you're using wired to T-568B on both ends or T-568A on both ends and works OK on a different, working network device?

Is your 12V power supply a DC supply, not AC and rated at least 1.0 A? And is the center pin on it's coaxial plug positive and the barrel negative ?
