If the Cameras are plugged into the NVR they will be on a different subnet assigned by the NVR. You will not be able to reach the cameras via the NVR. Or are you trying to reach the web interface on the NVR? Have you tried just using port 80?

I'm assuming you have already checked that your ethernet adaptor on your laptop is in the same range and subnet as the NVR. Have you tried manually setting the ethernet adaptor to 192.168.1.100 with a gateway of 192.168.1.1?

Also if you have your entire local network on the 192.168.1.1/24 ip range check there isn't another device that has a lease on 192.168.1.108.

According to you screenshots... your PC is set to 192.168.1.108. This is wrong as the dahua equipment defaults to the .108 address out of the box. Switch the PC to 192.168.1.222, then plug in only the DVR device, and connect to it... change the device away from the .108 address and save the settings.

Is the DVR a PoE model?

I connect the NVR to the network, then login to it from my laptop (assuming the laptop is on the same network.)

Then as mentioned you can login to the NVR web interface and change the NVR IP to something other than .108 which it is from the factory

The cameras are assigned a 10.10.x.x IP address if they are plugged into the NVR. So you want to find them inside the NVR.
