Can't watch 16x or 64x on Android mobile app on Server version after 5.3.1.6

So I was having a few random issues with Blue Iris, I was on version 5.3.0.3. My support subscription (and thus updates) expired back in the middle of July, so I decided to renew and get on the latest version (5.3.8.7).
To my surprise, now in the mobile app I could no longer watch clips at 16x or 64x. I mean, the option is there, but it is so ridiculously choppy, or just freezes altogether. Totally unwatchable.
I downgraded back to 5.3.0.3. - All Fixed
I upgraded back to the latest 5.3.8.7 - Issue comes back.
Downgrade back to 5.3.0.3 - All fixed again
I upgrade to the next version 5.3.16. - Still working good!
Upgrade to 5.3.2.11 - Broken again!
I have tried every server version from 5.3.0.3 on. Starting with 5.3.2.11 (Sep 25 2020 version), and every version after, 16x and 64x are broken.
I've searched around, and seen a couple quick mentions of this problem, but nothing with much detail or any resolution.
Just wondering if others here are seeing the problem, and if you've had any luck fixing it!
