Im trying to decide between:

HikVision 2CD2332-I
http://www.nellyssecurity.com/cameras/hi-def-cameras/ip-cameras/3-mp/hikvision-exir-2cd2332-i-3-mp-turret-dome-ip-camera-4mm.html

and

HikVision 2CD2132-I
http://www.nellyssecurity.com/cameras/hi-def-cameras/ip-cameras/3-mp/hikvision-2cd2132-i-outdoor-hd-3mp-ip-dome-security-camera-4mm.html

My take is that the Dome is a bit more weather protected, but the Turret is much better at Night time being that it is EXIR. The Turret is cheaper which makes me think, why if it seems better? Please give me your opinions as the the pros and cons of both and if you have experience with these cameras.

Also, this could be a consideration if their is a consensus that it is better than the above:

Thanks for your input!

I've run HIK mini bullets, HIK vandal domes and 2CD2332-I HIK EXIR turrets outside and -- in my case -- there was much less IR reflection with the turret. I am currently running four (4) Hikvision EXIR turrets outside with no complaints; for the money they can't be beat...in my opinion. But let's hear what the other guys have to say, eh?

I had the HikVision 2CD2132-I and was NOT impressed with the night time capabilities at all. I had IR bleed issues and then on the left side of the picture it always appeared blurry and out of focus on the left side ONLY Day or Night view. I had to return it, I guess I just had a bad camera or something along those lines. Upon return I opted for the Dahua IPC-HDBW4300E and have had no IR bleed issues at all I also have a 3MP turret and it works great as well. I have enclosed some test shots of the Hikvison 2cd2132-I dome that was giving me problems. I do hope this helps.

Please note these were just initial tests with this camera all settings were default.

Thanks for the info! The 3mp Turret you have is it a HikVision or Dahua?

I don't like domes myself because they are more trouble to install. They are more likely to have IR bleeding issues too. I like mini bullets for their relatively small size. But I like turrets the most because of the IR design. One bright IR LED next to the lens is better than a ring of LEDs surrounding the lens because bugs are less attracted to the lens, and it makes IR bleeding practically impossible.

Its the Dahua IPC-HDW4300C and it works very well even the built in mic is decent it's not studio quality but you can definitely hear what's going on in the vicinity of the camera.
