I have a Dahua DHI-NVR5216-16P-4KS2 NVR. All cameras are wired using NVR's poe ports and they are on the subnet of the NVR. I am thinking of adding wireless cams to this NVR. Can I connect a wireless router as AP to one of the NVR's poe ports using a poe splitter? I won't be using the power but only the data end of the splitter. The router will have its own power supply. Will this whole scheme work?
