Connecting IP camera

Hi,

I'm having trouble connecting an IP camera to a network.

I am trying to connect the IP camera through a POE switch directly to the NVR without a router, but even when I get the IP address subnet mask and gateway from the NVR and modify them in the camera discovery tool it wont connect.

What kind of camera is it? Assuming Hikvision, have you activated the camera? Take a look at the SADP Tool, which should be on the CD that came with the camera.
