Might be a dumb question, but I can't seem to get my head around putting a dahua cam in corridor mode the cam specifocally is a 5232r-ze.

Is it just a case of flipping the image 90° ?

Yeah I think it just flips it 90 degrees. The concern I have it that many of the Dahua IR emitter layouts will end up with a emitter up in the circuit board area if it is a dome cam.

Well this one is a turret.

But from digging around it seems like you have to physically rotate the lens then flip the image in the ui.

Problem is when I've tried that it basically just gives me the same image I had before

I think the gist of it is:

Physically rotate the camera 90 degrees so the wide sensor view is up/down.
This would make your video look 90 degrees rotated. So you put it in Corridor mode, which changes the resolution i.e. from 1920x1080 to 1080x1920 with actual-up being video-up.

thanks that's what i thought as well.

for some strange reason when i do that and rotate the image it just gives me the same image as before. unless of course it isn't and i just cant see for looking!
