I am surprised he did not go after your cat. Cats are high priority in my neighborhood for coyotes.

About the cat ... My thoughts exactly. It appears that the coyote didn't even notice the cat. Otherwise, I'm sure the cat would have been a midnight snack.
The cat was smart too. It remained as still as a statue to maintain stealth.
Also, I wonder what was in the black trash bag that was spooking the coyote. On every approach, he quickly backed off as if startled by something inside the bag.

We call this stray cat "Sack" because its a Fat Sack and eats too much At least its good for home defence

Getting comfortable
My eyes focused on the cat every time I saw it and I kept hoping the coyote didn't see it.
Ok, so was The Sack in the bag at the time? It certainly is not the cat in this video.
Looks like to me that the coyote was trying to find a way out. Any idea on how it left?
