A coyote stops for a few minutes on this platform that covers a drain just below our deck.

It's not often you see one, especially solo, spend that much time in one place out in the open, it makes them vulnerable for one thing.
But then again, he doesn't look like or act like he/she's in the best of health, though....

I guarantee you one of them out in the open like that won't last long in this neck of the woods. Anybody around here would end that quick...
