A coyote carrying a kill on the dirt road below our house is headed in the direction of a street with houses. The sleeping coyote wakes up and decides to cut off the first coyote by heading up the side of our house and then back down towards that same street. Meanwhile, the coyote with the kill doubles back toward the open hillside and 15 minutes later the sleeping coyote can be seen walking slowly in the same direction.
