Hello everyone. We have an old (2016) Mobotix "T25" door camera which has an IP video feed.

Modern software like iSpy (Connect to Mobotix cameras) can receive the feed, but our NVR can only take 'proper' ONVIF.

Is there a solution that I can use to convert the feed to ONVIF so that the NVR can pick it up? Any ideas appreciated!

Thank you

ONVIF individual camera MFGs have changed much over the years. They each had their own standards so unless you edit the firmware then it will not be an easy fix.

What is nice is that the older cameras did do RTSP, JPG and MJPG capturing. That said I would switch to using RTSP or MJPEG capturing with your NVR or install an in between software or hardware to do the capturing and forward this stream to your NVR.

Thank you! Unfortunately my NVR is pretty basic and I don't think the Mobotix does an RSTP feed either. Could you suggest a software solution? I have a PC that's left on all the time and I'm assuming this won't melt the CPU... thanks!

Consider Blue Iris, a powerful, inexpensive VMS. You can download it and try the demo V5 for 15 days here.

Be aware that for best performance it should run on a dedicated PC that meets these min. requirements.
For best results, optimize the CPU.

If you decide you want to purchase Blue Iris, IPCT sells it here.

Personally here have always used Zoneminder. It is Linux based and free. Currently running it on Ubuntu 20.04

That said I am also currently running Blue Iris on a Windows 2016 server and it does well for running in Windows. I would recommend running Blue Iris on Windows Server versus Windows 10-11. That is me.

BTW here using the Video Doorbell ONVIF for JPG captures for my very old Leviton HAI OmniPro 2 panel touchscreens, Homeseer Touchscreens, Home Assistant is doing RTSP connected to the Doorbell.

Standard STB here is Kodi in Linux (not Android or Windows or iOS) which streams RTSP via Pop up for cameras, HDHomerun tuners, et al.
