Hi,
Some family with this rather old setup.
DNR-326 with 7 DCS-4602EV cameras that cannot connect anymore. In the status overview on the DNR, I can see that it tries to connect, but it never happens. I can do a search for online camera's and it finds all the camera's.
They are connecting with HTTP. I can see it's configured to Channel#1, but not sure that is used at all
If I connect through a browser directly to a camera it's working fine.

Not sure if it could be a security issue?
I had to install Firefox to be able to access the website of the DNR and the camera's.

/K.

The cams and the NVR's LAN must all be on the same subnet since you say you can see the webGUI of each.

Have you performed a hard reset (button on rear panel) and gone thru setup as in the User Manual?

They are all on the same subnet, and server is also able to search and add all camera's.

Not 100% sure about this part, but I believe they have also tried with another server and again with same problem. It simply can't connect to camera's.

I haven't tried a reset, but it doesn't really make sense to me, as it can see and add the camera's to it.

I'm thinking of bringing the server and one camera back to my network, just to see if it could somehow be related to their network setup

I suggest you go back and read your origial post that states "...DNR-326 with 7 DCS-4602EV cameras that cannot connect anymore. In the status overview on the DNR, I can see that it tries to connect, but it never happens."

Why would anyone think that you can "add cameras" when you said "...it tries to connect, but it never happens" ? :wtf:

Doesn't make sense.

Do you know the model?

There is a status page about connection status. On that page all the cameras are listed, and every camera is switching between connecting and then disconnected.
I would guess that it would say connected if it's working as intended.

So when I wrote I can search and find all cameras and add them, I believe it's able to see and connect to them, but for some reason it cannot keep the connection.

Makes more sense?
