is there a trick to getting the dahua HD app to play nice with my cams? i have never had an isuue with ip cams and apps before. i forward 3 different ports and have tried all 3 with no luck. i did one port via TCP, one port UDP, and one port as "both TCP/UDP." my local IP is correct and static as far as port fwding goes. im lost. any assistance it appreciated.

i can access the cam locally, but not with my WAN ip, so clearly i am doing/did something wrong.
my default gateway is correct as well.

Did you try a p2p or easy4ip connection? And you should prove you external ip. Ïf it's an carrier graded nat with an private ip you must use a vpn service for getting an external ipv4.
The best and secures way is like nayr explained.

I will try easyIP. I have a static WAN IP, the cam is set to a static local IP. I am hoping I ain't did not pay attention to a detail. I assume to proper streaming port would be the RESTO port. What exactly is the UDP and TCP used for?

I accidentally changed the HTTP port to 6064. I cannot access my cam locally anymore. It appeared the cam reverted to HTTP port 80 before it refreshed. When I enter local IP with :6064 I cannot see the cam either. Any help is appreciated. I do not recalling a reset button on the cam. I have the 2mp dahua turrent that everyone is buying from Andy. I forget exact model number.

if there's a reset button you'll have to crack the turret open

This sucks for me lol. The cam is showing up when I use Fing app to scan my network. When I ping to static local IP....Nada. I don't even know where to start with this issue. BTW, the low light resolution is great on the cam so far.
